Bill Daniel of Funhouse Cinema and Aurora Picture Show present "New 16mm Beatniks"--crazy 16mm experimental films from all over. This is the first in a series of four screenings curated by Daniel for APS through December 1998.

The No-Nothing Cinema, San Francisco's venerable Experimental film venue, that was recently displaced by a virulent episode of urban renewal, has been reborn in another space as the New-Nothing Cinema, and is again home to an iconoclast group of filmmakers who continue to produce short works that defy political and aesthetic trends. "New 16mm Beatniks" reprises a recent New-Nothing show featuring 16mm shorts from New York, Milwaukee, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
