For the second annual iteration of this exciting project encouraging artist collaboration and exploring the relationships of words and moving image, Aurora and Public Poetry have selected local poets and filmmakers to collaborate on the creation of original "filmpoems" relating to people, places, and experiences specific to Houston. This special screening will premiere five new short films with artists in attendance to talk about their unique collaborations. This year’s participating artists are poets Sophia Emille, Margo Toombs, Anis Shivani, Elina Petrova, and Maha Ahmed and filmmakers Chap Edmonson, Eman Al-Zubeidi, Sarah Sudhoff, Bryce Saucier, and Jennifer Battaglia.

Location: Houston is a collaboration between Aurora Picture Show and Public Poetry.
